Prism 5% Exfoliating Glow Potion Review!

This is the Prism 5% Exfoliating Glow Potion by the brand Herbivore! Most people are unaware about this brand, so hopefully I can explain why people are raving about this stuff! I personally have used this product along with many other Herbivore products, so I’m excited to do an official review on this glow potion!

As I stated last time, I like to do my skin care after getting out of the shower, so I know my face is clean and ready for product! Before applying anything, I like to take a good look at my skin to see what the problems are prior to using the product. As you can see, my skin looks extremely dull, I have a lot of problematic acne on my skin unfortunately, and my skin is quite dry and flakey, especially around my problem areas. According to Herbivore, this product is allegedly supposed to hydrate, even the appearance of your skin tone, and smooth & clarify. Says it is suitable for all skin types, but people with sensitive skin should spot test first.

To apply this product the site says to apply 4-8 drops and massage the serum into the skin. I started by adding 1 full drop to both cheeks and my forehead and added about half of a full drop to my nose, chin, and cupids bow(skin above your lip and below your nose). After I applied, I began massaging the product into my skin as evenly as possible. I immediately began to feel quite moisturized and as I kept massaging the product into my skin, dead skin flakes started to come off in my hands. I don’t know how it exfoliates since it’s only a liquid, but it actually does work!

After applying the product I was happy to see my skin already looking much more lively and not so dull, it really did add quite a bit of color to my face. I also noticed that it left my face very tacky, so this would be good to use before applying makeup because the makeup will stick to your skin better. It gave a subtle sheen to my skin which is always nice for a luminous look. I’m not so sure that it evened out my skin tone much, which is a bummer because I have discoloration all over my face, but what it did do was very impressive. I will also add that my skin gets red very easily so my acne spots probably look a tad bit more red after using than before, but that doesn’t bother me a whole lot because I’m used to it.

Yes, a positive review! Overall, I would give this product an 8/10! The packaging is a nice weighty glass, so it feels nice and luxury. However; for a full-size bottle of the Herbivore Prism 5% Exfoliating Glow Potion it’s $44 on sale right now, regular price is $62. Now, I know this is probably pretty expensive skin care for most, so if you still want the product, or even want to try some other great products from Herbivore, you can buy a mini collection that has this glow potion plus a toner, facial oil, and a resurfacing mask for $49 ($63 value). For the 4 products in this bundle I do think the $49 is fair, and they go together to make the perfect routine! I do think this product works on all skin types as well, for dry skin it gives you some color and moisture and for oily skin it’s going to give the moisture your skin needs without leaving any super shiny residue. I love this product and would recommend it to anyone looking for a good serum!
