My name is Hailey Hoffman and I am the content creator for this blog! I have loved my experience with this blog thus far, but I realized my following doesn’t really know my story or who I am. With that being said, this page will give you some more information about my life and why skincare is so important to me!

From a very young age I had to learn how to take care of my brother and I because our home life was very complicated. I cooked dinner a couple nights, helped my brother with his schoolwork, and made sure we were both in bed at a reasonable time. Growing up in this environment, I matured very quickly which was difficult in my social life because most kids wanted to play and be silly, but it was difficult for me to be on that level.

Because I matured so quickly I started getting acne from a young age due to all the stress. It was never a huge deal to me, but one day my grandma warned me that I need to take care of my skin because how I treated my skin then will affect my skin in the future. I never took it seriously because to me there were more important things that I needed to be doing. Once I got to about 15 years old is when my acne was its worst. I still didn’t take it seriously.

Now, about 5 years later, I can already see spots on my skin from acne scars. I now understand that taking care of your skin is incredibly important for your health, but also just for your mentality. When I take my time every day to do my skincare routine, that is special time I am setting out to take care of myself. For a very long time in my life I was so overwhelmed with taking care of everyone else that I pushed doing little things for myself aside because it wasn’t as important to me. So, in conclusion, skincare is important to me because it’s an easy way I can love and care for myself. After caring for everyone else for so long it feels really good to treat myself in this way.
