Pixi Peel and Polish!

This is the Pixi beauty Peel and Polish resurfacing concentrate! This brand is on the come up recently and they’re starting to get more attention. I am super excited to give you my thoughts on this product!

Same as all my reviews, you can click here and the webpage with all the product information will pop up for you.

Because this is a type of exfoliant, I used this before my shower and then once I got in the shower I rinsed it off. You don’t have to do it this way, you can always just rinse it off over the sink, I just prefer it this way. My skin has been breaking out a lot recently due to stress about COVID-19, so prior to the mask I had a lot of dead skin over some of my problem areas. According to Pixi’s website the Peel and Polish is supposed to resurface for smoother, softer, glowing looking skin. They say to leave it on for 2 minutes before rinsing it off, so I let it sit while my shower got warm.

How the sugar looks

As I started massaging the product around my skin I immediately noticed that it expands to create this white cast over the face. I tried to capture a picture to show you, but it would disappear back into regular looking sugar before I had the chance; it only did it when I was actually rubbing it in. I also liked that its sugar wasn’t too rough on my skin. I’ve used a coffee bean exfoliant on my face before and it felt super rough, the Peel and Polish on the other hand is the perfect gentleness for the sensitive skin on your face. I also liked that while I waited the 2 minutes for it to settle it didn’t burn or tingle on my skin. Sometimes exfoliants will make your skin tingle, which is fairly uncomfortable, but not with this one. Overall I am very pleased with the application of this product.

With the sugar on my face

After applying this product I will say it brought a pretty, natural glow to my skin. I could also see a difference between the dryness I had before applying the product to after using it because the product made my problem areas look a bit better as you can see on my forehead. I loved how gentle the product felt on my skin, it didn’t feel like it was tearing my skin, rather that it was just ridding the dead skin.

After applying the product

Overall, I would give this product a 9/10! I really only took off for the packaging because it is pretty simple. Other than that I would say this product is staying in my collection and I look forward to using it again! I also think the price is fair; for a full sized bottle it’s $24 and if you want to try out the mini version it’s only $6! If you’re looking for a new resurfacing exfoliant I highly recommend the Pixi Peel and Polish!

Stay happy and healthy my skincare lovers!
