Sephora Purple Clay Mask Review!

This is the Sephora collection purple clay mask that I tested out today! I have never used a clay type mask before, so this was very fun and interesting!

To find product information, it’s easiest to find the product online and select it, and then if you scroll down there are usually a couple tabs you can choose from that have information about the product. Included in this is usually the instructions and the claims for the product. To find out more about this clay mask you can click here and see all product details.

My skin prior to using the mask! Please excuse the breakouts on my face.

To begin you always want to apply masks to a clean face, so when I do a mask, I usually apply it right after I get out of the shower, so I know my skin is clean. Before I applied the mask to my face, I like to get a good look at my skin so after I take the mask off, I can see how much the product really did. When doing this I noticed my skin was very flakey and dry as usual. It was also a bit dull because I hadn’t applied any other products to my skin of course.

This is how the mask looks on the skin!

Application was alright, the website never specified how to apply it, so I just went old school and used my fingers. When applying it with my fingers it didn’t leave the most perfect layer over my whole face, but it wasn’t that big of a deal. It suggests to leave the product on for 15 minutes, so that’s just what I did.

My skin after taking off the mask.

Taking the product off was fine, came off fairly easily and I didn’t need a towel, just the water and my hands which was nice. Pro tip: when drying your face any time after it’s been wet ALWAYS pat your face with a soft towel very gently. Don’t swipe the towel on your face because it pulls your skin and causes aging and wrinkles. After drying my skin I was honestly shocked in a bad way. I seriously don’t think the mask did anything for my skin, and it was honestly about as dull at the end as it was when I started.

It sucks that the first review is negative, but I have to be honest! I would give this product a 3/10. The packaging is okay and everything about this product was really just lackluster. It claims it’s for all skin types, which I actually disagree with. I would say that this is a good hydrating product for people who have more oily skin, because it didn’t leave any luminosity. For $8 I don’t think it’s worth it. Might as well stick to your routine.

I hope you enjoyed my review on the Sephora Purple Clay Mask! Don’t forget you can subscribe to my blog for email updates every time I make a new post! If you haven’t already, go check out my introduction post!

See ya next time, ❤ Hails
